RedBike’s “Fit For Fall” 5-week challenge has come to a close and WOW has it been great! Not only did our winner lose a total of 16 pounds and 9 inches of fat from her entire body, but all of our challengers dropped significant weight and lost serious body fat. Can you say hell yeah?


What was it like?

5-weeks of cycling and having nutritionists by your side - can that get any better?

Each contestant connected with us at the beginning, middle and end of the challenge for a one-on-one nutrition consultation. We also sent out weekly emails with a goal, a healthy recipe, and a motivational quote to keep our challengers on track!


How did our winner do it?

We helped her set realistic and attainable weekly goals, she followed them, kept herself on track with a consistent exercise routine [3 times per week], and planned her meals ahead of time. That sounds pretty doable doesn’t it? Sometimes we just need to be  held accountable by someone else in order to stay on track and avoid getting distracted.

RedBike and the Science of Spiritual Fitness


RedBike have an amazing new class called the 30/30—30 min of cycling followed by 30 min of Yoga. Now in its third week, we have been able to put our deeply held philosophy into practice: that the highest form of fitness can only be attained when it contains a strong sense of spirituality.

Exercise isn’t a panacea for everything, but there is no question that much of what ails you—and the 31% of adults over 20 in the United States who are obese—can be mitigated by making your heart and lungs really work. And when you take it to the next level, your pituitary gland releases endorphins that act like opiates—only without the addiction.

Just as prescription anti-depressants work on your serotonin levels, so does the release of endorphins. Studies show that just three indoor cycling workouts a week are as effective as the best anti-depressants. You don’t just feel good after a RedBike class because you’ve worked out, you feel good because your body is releasing happy hormones: the very same hormones that are released when we are deep in prayer or feel spiritually connected.
